These words resonated with me and created a picture in my head, something I can imagine and now work towards. In our previous news item, I asked the question of what we leaders can do to support change? I feel when I have ‘set the table’ in the past I haven’t got ALL the right people to the table. I may have told others, but I didn’t seek their commitment, set expectations, thus ‘get them to the table’.
As I listened to Petal, and hearing about the work that she (and her team) put into the ‘learning environment’ to assist change, she mentioned a range of titles – Champions, Master Trainers, Training Manager, Training Team Leads and Frontline Trainers. They all have a significant impact on training at their workplace. She then showed us specific expectations for each. This was their environment to support their change.
My questions for all of us are……
Have we got all the right people at the table?
Have we made them aware of their commitments and expectations?
